Call Status Trigger

The Call Status trigger is a really interesting and underused trigger. With it, you can cause events to happen within your system such as send you a text when a call comes in but doesn't connect. Or the other way around. If you dial out but no connection. 

Picture this: You are an agent who is making calls through the system. Not all of your prospects are going to answer the phone. Using the Call Status trigger, you can add some kind of follow-up tag to your contact record for that person which, along with another workflow can remind you to try again. 

Or: Someone calls you but you don't pick up. The system can send you a text message letting you know to call that person back even if they didn't leave a message. 

Navigating Call Status

To use the Call Status Trigger, simply go into “Automation” -> “Workflows” and click, "Create New Workflow". (1)  

Then choose "Call Status". Afterwards, you can choose the filters or conditions under which the trigger will fire. (2, 3) 

Things like:

  • Call Direction - Incoming or Outgoing

  • Call Status - Busy, Cancelled, Completed, No-answer, or Voicemail

  • In Workflow - Choose the appropriate workflow

This tool is a great option to help streamline your follow-up/follow-through process.
