How To Use Trigger Links
There are 2 great places where you can use your trigger links once you create them.
You can use trigger links on email templates for email campaigns, and/or workflows. You're able to trigger automations using trigger links as well.
Trigger Link in Workflows
You can use trigger links in workflows to trigger any automation.
Also, you can add trigger links on any message action within the workflows.
Trigger Links As Workflow Triggers
To do this, navigate to the "Automations" tab.
Create Or Edit A Workflow
PRO TIP: You can also edit any existing workflow and add a new trigger to them. Simply click on top of the name of the workflow you'd like to edit.
Click on "+Create Workflow"
Create From Scratch
Select "Create from scratch"
Create A Workflow
Click on "+Create a new workflow".
Edit The Workflow Name
Make sure you give your workflow a name so you know what this automation is for.
Add A Workflow Trigger
Click on "Add A New Workflow Trigger", this will show you a menu on the right side.
Search For Trigger Link
On the search bar, type in trigger links. Select "Trigger Link Clicked"
Click On "Add Filters"
Click on "Trigger Link"
Choose The Specific Trigger Link
You can search for your specific trigger link on this list.
Save The Workflow Trigger
Click on "Save Trigger".
And that's how you can make your trigger link to be a workflow trigger. From here you can keep customizing your workflow and add actions to it, so whenever people click on your trigger link, a set of actions will happen.
Save Workflow
Click on the "Save" button on the upper right corner.
PRO TIP: Make sure the workflow is published. Simply toggle the Draft - Publish switch under the "Save" button.
Trigger Links Within Action Messages
To do this, navigate to the "Automations" tab.
Create Or Edit A Workflow
Click on "+Create Workflow".
PRO TIP: You can also edit any existing workflow and add a new trigger to them. Simply click on top of the name of the workflow you'd like to edit.
Create From Scratch
Select "Create from scratch".
Create A Workflow
Click on "+Create a new workflow".
Edit The Workflow Name
Make sure you give your workflow a name so you know what this automation is for.
Add An Action
Click on "Add your first action", this will show you a menu on the right side.
Select an Message Action
There are a 2 message options you can include a trigger link to: Email or SMS.
Select A Template
If you already created a template with trigger link in them, you can select a template.
Add The Trigger Link To The Message
If you're not using any templates, you can edit the message by adding the trigger link in the body.
Simply click on "Trigger Links" and select the trigger link from the dropdown.
Save The Action
Click on "Save Action".
Save Workflow
Click on the "Save" button on the upper right corner.
PRO TIP: Make sure the workflow is published. Simply toggle the Draft - Publish switch under the "Save" button.
