How-to Send RSS Email Campaign(s)

RSS allows you to deliver updates and newly published blog content via email. Instead of sending individual emails for each blog post, you can send periodic RSS emails or newsletters that summarize the content your user base may have missed out on, avoiding excessive email notifications.

What is RSS?

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." An RSS email allows customers to receive updates and view a curated selection of content in one place. In Email Marketing, when creating an RSS email, you can choose a template, design the content, and set up options like adding receipts and selecting delivery methods such as RSS scheduling for daily, weekly, and more.

Note: Make sure that you've created an email template to send campaigns and that you have verified the domain to send emails.

Creating an RSS Email

To start go to Marketing > Emails and click on “Campaigns”. Click on “Create Campaign” in the upper right corner.

Select the template you want to use and click on the “check” mark.

Design your content in the email builder. Whether you're experienced or new to email marketing, Email Builder provides you with user-friendly tools to create visually stunning campaigns.

Once done, click on “Send or Schedule” in the upper right.

Review your email and complete the following before sending it:

  • Add your recipients in the To section by choosing email(s) or smartlist(s).

  • Add your email address in the From section.

  • Add your name in the Name section (Optional)

  • Add your subject line in the Subject section.

  • Add your Preview text in the Preview section. (Optional)

  • The next thing is to select the option of RSS in the delivery method.

  • Your RSS Feed URL

  • Choice of Daily, Weekly, and Monthly

  • The time when the RSS Email campaign is to be sent out

  • Uncheck the days from the week when you don't want to send the RSS Email Campaign

Note: Check the execution date, time, and time zone before scheduling.

You will have the option to delete or reschedule your email campaign. If you choose to reschedule, simply click on the reschedule button and set the desired date and time for the campaign.

Rescheduling will be allowed up to one hour before the scheduled sending time. For example, if the campaign is scheduled for 11 AM EST, you can reschedule it until 10 AM EST.

Additionally, for RSS Email Campaigns, there will be a pause option available.
